Pound Gates has awarded £4,000 in grants through our Acorn Fund, in partnership with Suffolk Community Foundation, with our teams voting to support two charities delivering services locally: Little Lifts and ActivLives.
Little Lifts received £2,000 to help fund their beautifully curated gift boxes for people undergoing breast cancer treatment at Ipswich Hospital. The boxes are designed to ease some of the physical side effects of treatment while also providing comfort, reassurance and a reminder that people are not going through it alone.
We also awarded £2,000 to ActivLives to support the continuation of the Ipswich Men’s Hub, an important community group helping men aged 50+ stay connected, active and supported.
Both charities are doing the kind of practical, human work that makes a real difference to people locally and we’re proud to support them through the Acorn Fund.
The Acorn Fund has awarded over £64,000 to 43 local causes since its inception in 2013.
